A Prim Rack

Well, this is something I picked up Monday, on the outing with just me and my husband. I found it in a neat old prim display in my favorite antiques shop. I really don't know if it was used for something special, because instead of board shelves, the shelves are made of a bunch of dowels going across....maybe sometype of shoe rack??? Not sure?! But anyway, I like it....now where to go with it and what to do with it....I will find a place, don't worry. ;)

I have just little odds and ends sitting on it so you could see the rack better...
I actually want to take it out into our pottery shed and use it for holding items for our spring open house. Does anyone have any other good ideas for it?....

Have a great weekend!

  2. Hi Tarrah...........I have a similar rack and I was told that it was a rack from an old shoe factory. Mine has casters on the legs so it can be moved around. I had at one time used it to store towels in the bathroom but right now have folded quilts on the shelves in the bedroom.

  3. Was it a drying rack of some kind?
I love it. Don't have any ideas except maybe linens? pottery bowls? I don't know. But I do like it. :-D
    Enjoy your day.

  6. I have a similar one and it was from a shoe factory, used it for many diff. things but right now it holds a lot of my wool for rughooking and really looks great, when wool is involved anything looks good. Have fun changing displays from time to time. Good find!!
