An Awesome Swap!

As promised, I wanted to show you some of the wonderful goodies I got from a new blogging friend. Many of you know her from over at APP as the Hospitality Coordinator....yep, it's Dana! :)
Dana is such a friendly person and she makes tons of great smelling bowl fillers, pantry cakes, candle tarts, gingerbread men, and many other things. You really must check out her blog HERE, and then from there, hop on over and check out her selling blog HERE!

So this is what I was greeted with when I opened up the box. Oodles of little, perfectly bubble wrapped packages!

This was the next layer.....there were just more, and more, and more of them!

Here it all is....look at all these prim pieces! I was in awe of what she sent me! And let me tell ya....they all have THE MOST WONDERFUL SCENT TO THEM!

Look at these adorable gingerbreads! I didn't want to take anything out of their individualized packages, they are just too nice!

These are her lavender tarts! I LOVE THESE!!!! They smell so yummy! I think I will hold onto these and display them in the spring, when I am ready to brighten things up!

As well as this cute little spring lamb!

The most adorable little "BALL" mason jars!

'Wooden' measuring spoons!

Some fall corn, pumpkins, and leaves.....

She sent me even more that aren't pictured, but I will show you some of those when I display them at Christmas. Thanks again Dana! I am really thankful for our new found friendship as well. And let me just add that my 2 favorite scents are "country store" and "olde hearth".

Now, I have one more thing to show you....this is a very sweet gift that my middle child "purchased" for me by using her very own Awana dollars at church. She knows how much I love candles and how much I love salt glazed pottery too. Take a look at one of the things she purchased and brought home to me. It was such a cute gift from her!

I was very surprised that they even had those cute little gifts there at the store!
Well friends, have a great week!

NEW! Prim Star Ornies!

Hi friends! I have oodles of things to show you but I am going to have to do them in segments! ;) Today's post is rather short but I wanted to show you some new pottery ornaments that we are making! They are oh, so adorable, little prim stars!!!

These are done in Speckled Egg, Rusted Barn, and Robin's Egg. If you would like to order some of these cuties, you can email me. They sell for $3.50 each, or slightly discounted after 6 or more!
They would make great pacakage tie-ons, they would most certainly complete a prim Christmas tree, and they're just fun to have around to decorate with! :)

Well, have a great day everyone! I will be back very soon to show you some incredible swap goodies I got in the mail and some other "old" treasures!

*bobbing for apples!

*a trip to the mountains for some fall foliage!

We are working in between all that fun....Here is some more Rusted Barn pottery that we just got out of the kiln. We are getting ready for our last craft show that is this Saturday. That will be the last show until our big Christmas Open House in December. More on that soon!

We still have a few of these Halloween crocks left, next is the Christmas crocks! ;)

Have a warm and cozy weekend!

October

Hi friends! Not much to write about today, but I wanted to post some pictures of the prim little tavern table I found at Christina's Primitive America open house. It won't be staying in this spot, but I kept it here until I have found its perfect place. I plan on using it during our open house to hold some of our goodies that we are preparing!

I also wanted to share some pumpkin topiaries that I made. I found the idea on the blog: The Soladay Family. I loved the look, even though it isn't prim. I needed some pop for on my back deck, where I didn't have any pumpkin displays. I have the fall decor everywhere else, but here I wanted something different.
Out with summer:

In with fall:

*These pictures show how bad we really need to redo our deck boards next spring! YIKES!
Have a great weekend!

A Road Trip

This past Friday I took a little roadtrip up to Pennsdale. It was a beautiful drive along gorgeous farmlands with the leaves really starting to change. I was eager to get to Primitive America's open house. The owner, Christina, is a wonderful girl that I happened to find through a blog of a blog. I later saw her picturetrail and her facebook page, and I quickly realized that I recognized her tags and handwriting from one of my favorite antique shops that I visit often! It was then that I knew I had to attend her open house, which was located at her farmhouse, in an old barn.

I just loved all of her very primitive pieces! It was like stepping back in time, and I wish I could have brought it all home with me.
I did find an old tavern table that I just loved but I didn't get a picture of that yet, will show you that next time.

Also this weekend I changed my harvest table centerpiece around, I moved out my 2 urns and replaced it with this deep dough bowl.

I love to change things around...it probably drives my husband crazy because I don't just move the small stuff around, I start getting ideas and I want to move larger pieces around too! LOL!!!
But here is a couple more pictures of some very prim displays that make me think of fall!

Happy October!
