Saying Goodbye to 2010....
Can you believe that we are ending the year already....we will be welcoming in 2011 in just 2 short days....where did the time go?
I haven't taken down any of the Christmas decorations....I like the way it still feels in the house, even though I'm tired of cleaning up the dried up greens and fallen tree needles.
This week we are all at home and have tried to squeeze every waking moment into something productive....cleaning, organizing, rearranging, and of course playing with all the new gadgets and gizmos. :)
Bob and I were even able to get out for a day and go antiquing! We headed to Lebanon, Palmyra, and then Hershey to some great antique stores, and I only have these 2 photos to share of this really neat entrance through a barn into a courtyard of an antique barn. It was sooooo neat, and SOOOOOOOO cold!
Very neat place...can't wait to go back!
Next time I'll show you some very nice treasures that Santa left me! :)
HAPPY NEW YEAR FRIENDS....MAY IT BE A GREAT YEAR!

Colonial Christmas Tablescape
I thought I would share pictures of my colonial tablescape that I created on Christmas Eve. I have step by step pictures of how it was slowly "built". It was so much fun to make and it turned out absolutely beautiful!
I started out by making my own glitter candles......
*a little messy at first, but quite a stunning showpiece when they were all finished!
*Put the candles in their place....
*added lots of these....
*to our NEW colonial candle cups....
*Now, bring in the fresh greens....all sorts!
*Start to add some beautiful, slightly sparkled bronze ribbon!
*Adding some fresh fruit, and more of my glittered candles...
*Apples, Pears, Fresh clove studded oranges, and Pineapples....
*All different views of the table.....
Can't wait to do this again next year! It gave such a homey, colonial feel to Christmas.

Twas the day before Christmas, and I was scurrying like mad....
double checking the presents, to see what gifts for my husband I had.
The stockings were hung by our chimney with care,
in hopes that when I filled them none would seem bare.
Cookies to be baked yet, gifts to be wrapped,
Traditions to be done, but will there be time for a nap?
Lots to be cleaned for the company arriving,
So much to do and I'm barely surviving!
"But what matters most?" I heard him say.
Isn't it not, MY BIG DAY?
You get your birthday, and your anniversary too.
When will you say, "This day is just for you!"
They came to see me many years ago, and honor my name.
Emmanuel is here! They shouted and proclaimed.
The day has become commercial and unrelative to me,
Will someone help the others truely see?
It's not about presents, the goose and cookies on the table,
It's about a true gift that will ALWAYS BE UNMEASURABLE!
I came to this earth for only one reason...
It's so you could be with me some day forever in HEAVEN!
Merry Christmas my friends.

Happy Winter!
......well, come on in! It's cold out there! Brrrrr.....
Wanted to show you another brand new color that we are going to try out here at Indian Trail Pottery! We only ran a few test pieces, but we like it and it seems that others do to!
Welcome Black Forest,
and Black (or Boo Black~name taken from our very black kitty named Boo) to the Indian Trail Pottery Family!
These colors are dark, but they have a very nice richness to them, something new, exciting and different! Definitely some keepers! :)
Ok, well thanks for stopping in....stay warm. Hope you visit again soon!

Christmas Is Coming......
Can you believe Christmas is this week?!! Very hard to believe, and I think if we had a little snow, it would make it feel like Christmas a little more...and I hear that there is a chance Christmas day! We'll keep hoping! :) (Well, some of us anyway!)
Well,I haven't really posted any of my holiday decor pictures yet...probably because I am still tweaking/rearranging all the time! Here are a few to get this Christmas week started...enjoy!
That's all the decor pictures for now....I need to take some with better lighting, like in the evening.
I wanted to quick share something else that I'm working on......this new and little, but very FUN AND CUTE craft.....wool acorns! Making lots of these for package tie-ons and ornaments for our tree too!
Aren't they cute?! Thanks Amy!
At this time of year and throughout the winter, one thing I love is having our Indian Trail Pottery tart warmers burning all day long....some very wonderful, cozy holiday scents are always permeating the house, and it smells sooooo good.
mmmmmm....gotta great olde smokey scent burning.
