New Handmades!

I wanted to quick post a few new handmades that I got...but these aren't from me. These are from some very talented fellow bloggers out there that most of you know, and if you don't know them....get to know them and check them out, they do great great work! Just a warning...my pictures do NOT do all these upcoming pieces justice.
First off is PAM. She makes all different types of beautiful baskets and a couple weeks back she posted a set of 8 adorable shaker baskets in different colors....well, I just had to have a set, and since it was my birthday, it was approved and that was one of my birthday gifts! :)
Check them out on the top beam up there....

Not sure if I am keeping them there, or if I will put them above my large windows on a shelf (that Bob would have to make). They are just so cute!
Now, check out this beautiful writing desk constructed by TERESA'S husband....they both do such great work....I just love this piece and this will hide my laptop when not in use. I absolutely love this color, (I also loved the red, but I went with blue this time, since I am pulling some blues into my color scheme as of lately).

So, that was my other birthday present....I certainly am lucky to have such a great husband that got them for me....of course I made it very easy on him...I did all the ordering! LOL!!! :)
This day has turned into a cold, rainy, windy mess! It is just pouring here and the rain is hitting the windows sideways...yuck, wouldn't want to be out and about today...lucky for me I didn't have to go out this morning...another fellow blogger came to see me. It was PATTI! We had a small, simple brunch and then we chatted for quite awhile. :)
Here is the table set up for us with those new pedestal plates! ;)

Have a good evening!

I'm Back....with lots of photos!

Well friends, I am finally back to blogging after being without a computer for 3 and a 1/2 days! My computer crashed on me during the craziest time.....preparing and setting up for our open house. So, I am now back in blogging business, and there is so much to update you on! :)
First off let me say that the open house was great and we had so much fun! It was quite exhausting, but it was worth it and seeing some old friends and meeting many new ones made it even more awesome! I had blog followers that I got to see which is always nice! Thank you again to everyone who came out to support us...we appreciate you guys and we do have the best customers!
Ok, so are you ready for some pictures? I didn't get any pictures with people here, I snapped these photos before anyone came and while I was doing those last minute finishing touches "knock, knock" it began! YEAH!!! :)

Here are a few photos of these new cake pedestal plates in white....these were a big hit! So, we have quite a lot more to make! :)

Now, I hear a big congratulations to APP are in order...I had to call PATTI to have her tell me the big news that APP was announcing on Friday night....I wanted to know the scoop and without a computer I couldn't wait, so I called Patti and she told me. How exciting that will be....I just love magazines that are chock full of prim goodness!

Woolie Wednesday~Rescheduled

Hi friends! It's Wednesday already and unfortunately I don't have a wool project to share with you this week. I have been so busy and consumed with this open house that starts in 2 days, that I just didn't have time to think about a wool project....sorry. Hopefully next week.
But, the good news is I still have some stuff to share with you! And this is the closest thing I could get to a wool project.....a sheep project! :)

These are two punch needle patterns that I just love and finally just got finished putting on the backing, they are both from Shawn Williams. I wanted to have them all done and finished for the open house because I will have some of her kits for sale then.

*Ok, so I am a little prepared now for fall! ;)

I still have a million things to do and my house is an absolute wreck with things all over the place! But I also wanted to share with you some really great pottery that is slowly getting done....I have my table almost filled with it, but I wanted to show you a couple of my favorite pieces so far....

*Do you see that cute little pedestal there in the middle? Bobby made that one especially for me! I have been pesting him for a long time to make some candy/cake pedestals and this is the first one done....there are 3 more that will be finished by Friday!

*Doesn't that look so cute?! :)

*And check out this set of 2 mugs and a sugar bowl and creamer! I think they got great!
Ok, well I gotta keep moving....I want to sleep tonight, so that means I need to get a lot done today! LOL!!!
Have a great week! :)

Vintage Tray Chalkboards

Well, its officially spring and it is so nice to actually say that! :) The buds on all my trees are really pushing and everything is really getting green...yeah!
We have been extremely busy here preparing for our open house....I am quite nervous, and anxious all at the same time. I just hope I have enough inventory, and I hope people like the inventory available....again, I'm quite nervous! ;)
Here is some items that I made that isn't really prim, but I guess it would kind of be considered shabby chic....

*The pictures aren't the best...it's kind of gloomy out today

I love the look of these, and they can be great fun sitting around with cute little messages. I know some people won't like them because they aren't prim, but my house is a collection of all things that I love, and it isn't 100% prim at all...its quite an eclectic mix, but that is what makes me smile, and makes it ME! :)
So anyway, I will have all these available at the open house! And speaking of the open house, I need to get back to work on getting things done! Have a great Monday!

Girls Spring Luncheon!

Happy 1st day of spring everyone (well, I'm a half day early), but that was our reason to celebrate today....we started the celebrating early! ;)
I hosted our spring luncheon with some of my BFF's (shown here) raising their glass to "us".

From left to right, Amy, Wendy, Abby
We had such a great time talking, laughing, and catching up on each others' lives.....
I decorated using pinks, whites and greens with some tissue paper flowers, candles, and I also made birds nests favors with little eggs!

So, how will you be celebrating spring?

Thank You!

Thank you to everyone for wishing me a happy birthday yesterday. You guys made me feel so special with each new comment and greeting...I love reading your comments, and it made me smile as I read each one! :) It was a great day!
Here is the beautiful cake that my husband and children made (complete with homemade icing)! It's my favorite.....angel food cake!

So, now after all the celebrating, its back to this:

It is now crunch time...I have so much to get finished up and done for the open house next weekend....and then I have a whole house to clean up after everything is done! I have quite a list of things to cross off! ;) But first I am having some girlfriends over for a spring luncheon tomorrow....so I need to do a little more decorating and preparing for that yet. I will hopefully have some pictures to share with ya later!

Happy St. Patrick's Day/Birthday and Woolie Wednesday!

Today, I am 33! Yep, I'm a St. Patty's day baby! :) So, I am wearin' my green, and feeling lucky today because of all the blessings in my life. It is also a gorgeous day outside, so that is even better!

Now, onto my Woolie Wednesday project. Today, is a simple little spring penny rug, but not with many wool pennies. The 2 circles are from wool, but then it's just some simple stitching creating the picture. I showed you a small piece of this about a week ago, but here it is in full.

I wanted to stitch this cute little rabbit jumping over some cute, colorful posies and this is what I came up with. I kept it simple but very spring'ie'. This is generally a candle mat size, but there are no rules that state you have to put something on top of these cuties....they make a nice little display all on their own!

So, I hope you enjoyed todays wool project! Have a great week and a great St. Patricks's Day!
Oh yeah, and here is my one birthday wish....... ;)

Now that's some REAL eye candy! ;)
